“As a prosecutor, I see people on a daily basis whose substance misuse has already gotten the better of them, and it is very difficult for them to make a successful recovery. The goal of prevention is to reach our community’s young people before substance misuse becomes an issue, and that’s why I love volunteering with ASAP of Anderson.”
Brandon Pelizzari
Assistant District Attorney

”Being a coalition member of ASAP of Anderson means recognizing that true prevention is a collective endeavor. It’s about bringing together our community – to weave a strong, protective net around our youth and adults. Through diverse networking, we leverage unique perspectives and resources, creating comprehensive strategies that build resilience and foster a drug-free Anderson County for generations to come.”
Matt Holder, Director of Recovery Ministry
First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge
The necessity for human kind to not only face imminent danger, but to also face potential danger will never stop. Tackling the hard conversations and actions to prevent our youth from falling into the grips of addiction is the best course of action for the world. You can save an entire generation just by preventing one student from aiming in a direction they never meant to take. Prevention turns society into leaders. Prevention turns people into business owners, bosses, teachers, role models. Prevention is how we save the world. This is why I will always volunteer at ASAP.
