Durante la semana del 22 al 26 de octubre, Clinton y Anderson County High Schools participaron en el Red Ribbon Rivalry durante la Semana del Lazo Rojo.  El Rival fue una competencia para ver cual escuela podia vender mas cintas rojas.  Las cintas rojas se vendieron para $1 para concientizar sobre el uso indebido de drogas y alcohol en el condado de Anderson.  Durante el partido de f\u00fatbol americano entre Anderson County High School y Clinton High School el 26 de octubre, la escuela ganadora fue revelada durante el medio tiempo, y un enorme trofeo fue presentado a la escuela ganadora. \u00a1Gan\u00f3 Clinton!  Como comunidad, recaudamos m\u00e1s de $2000. \u201cComo miembro del club SADD, estoy encantada de que los institutos y la comunidad se hayan unido para recaudar fondos para la concienciaci\u00f3n sobre el alcohol y las drogas\u201d, comenta Sarah Thomas, estudiante del Clinton High School. A medida que se vend\u00edan cintas rojas en Clinton High School, se colgaban en una pared fuera del comedor. Los alumnos y el profesorado pudieron seguir el progreso de la escuela viendo las cintas que cubr\u00edan las paredes.  Todos estaban muy emocionados al ver las cintas que hab\u00edan comprado con sus nombres colgadas en la pared.  \u201cSiendo de Clinton High School, me sent\u00ed muy orgullosa de ver a mi escuela apoyando una causa tan fabulosa, que llev\u00f3 a una victoria tan emocionante\u201d, dijo la presidenta del club SADD, Kelli Kent.  Despu\u00e9s de una decepcionante derrota para el equipo de f\u00fatbol de Clinton, la escuela todav\u00eda pod\u00eda mantener la cabeza alta por su incre\u00edble victoria en la Red Ribbon Rivalry.  Al hablar con Emilie Henderson de Clinton High School, sus pensamientos sobre la Semana del Lazo Rojo fueron inspiradores, \u201cLa Semana del Lazo Rojo fue genial porque ayud\u00f3 a la gente a entender la importancia de una vida libre de drogas\u201d.  Los alumnos de nuestras escuelas locales estaban muy contentos de haber participado en una campa\u00f1a antidroga tan grande y conocida.  Es muy reconfortante ver a la comunidad tomar partido por unos Estados Unidos libres de drogas.  Como dijo Gandhi: \u201cS\u00e9 el cambio que quieres ver en el mundo\u201d.  La comunidad del Condado de Anderson realmente se uni\u00f3 para lograr esa filosof\u00eda durante la Semana del Lazo Rojo.
