{"id":4239,"date":"2019-03-28T15:50:20","date_gmt":"2019-03-28T19:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asapofanderson.org\/?p=4239"},"modified":"2019-03-28T15:50:20","modified_gmt":"2019-03-28T19:50:20","slug":"opioid-alternatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asapofanderson.org\/es\/opioid-alternatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Opioid Alternatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Opioid Alternatives Lunch and Learn Series<\/em><\/strong><strong> Hosted by ASAP of Anderson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Press Release, Clinton, TN March 2019 \u2014 ASAP of Anderson is hosting a bi-monthly <em>Opioid Alternatives Lunch and Learn Series<\/em> at Methodist Medical Center.\u00a0 Each Lunch and Learn will provide information about a specific opioid alternative treatment from a qualified professional.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) April 23<sup>rd<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Massage Therapy June 25<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction August 27<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Physical Therapy\/Wellness October 29<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Acupuncture December 17th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En <em>Opioid Alternatives Lunch and Learn Series<\/em> is a follow on to two continuing medical education trainings hosted by ASAP in March 2018 and early March 2019. These trainings covered opioid prescribing and pain management, including behavioral aspects of pain management. As part of prevention efforts, ASAP\u2019s medical education planning committee is focused on improving understanding of the effectiveness of non-opioid treatments for pain and the limitations of opioid pain management, in an effort to decrease opioid misuse in Anderson County.<\/p>\n<p>The series is geared toward healthcare professionals; however, sessions are open to professionals in other fields. Registration is required for attendance.
