How We Serve

Shayla Wilson

As executive director of ASAP of Anderson, Shayla will be using her extensive skillset to lead ASAP, advocate for change, and serve the community. In doing so, Shayla’s main focuses are:

  • Partnerships: We are passionate about collaborating with other community organizations, non-profits, and coalition sectors to foster inter-organizational partnerships.
  • Community: Through needs assessments, school survey administration, and data we are able to implement long-range strategic and operational planning.
  • Programs: Evidence-based prevention programming and quality assurance strategies lead us toward our desired outcomes.
  • Funding: ASAP of Anderson is fully funded through federal, state, and local grants, donations, and set fee structures.

Savannah Meade

Kristi Beeler

Kristi serves as the Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist for Morgan, Roane, Anderson, Union, Grainger, Campbell, Claiborne and Scott Counties. Contact Kristi at Kristi@ASAPofAnderson.org for: 

  • TN Save a Life Training on best practices for opioid prescribing, screening for substance use disorder, overdose prevention, harm reduction and administration of naloxone (Narcan) 
  • To receive naloxone or exchange expired kits for free
  • Referrals to treatment programs

Laura Taliaferro

.Led by our Student Services Coordinator, Laura, the Coping Conversations program helps students discover healthy coping strategies as alternatives to substance use. This grant-supported initiative serves as a first-offense intervention for tobacco citations in Anderson County, Clinton City, and Oak Ridge Schools, providing guidance, education, and support to set students on a positive path. Wendy is a youth prevention coordinator over tobacco, marijuana, vaping, alcohol, and impaired driving. She leads the Saturday Vaping referral class and student presentations in elementary through high school. Contact Wendy at Wendy@ASAPofAnderson.org for:
